Home

Consulting the Digital Edition of the Rooklooster Register

The digitized images available on this website are divided into several image galleries, following the structure of the manuscript. Please refer to the Genesis section in the menu above for more information.

Click here to view all available galleries.

The following galleries are available:

  • Binding
  • Prologue (fol. 001 r° - 001 v°)
  • List of Authors (fol. 002 r° - 019 v°)
  • List of Libraries (fol. 020 r° - 025 r°)
  • Book Placement in Rooklooster (fol. 025 v°)
  • List of Titles Present in Rooklooster (fol. 026 r° - 041 v°)
  • Authors (fol. 042 r° - 383 v°), alphabetically divided into subgalleries
  • Hagiographic works (fol. 384 r° - 409 v°)
  • Anonymous works (fol. 410 r° - 438v°)

Each gallery overview shows thumbnails for the folio's in that gallery. Clicking on a thumbnail will load a preview of the folio. In the background a full resolution image will be loaded at the same time (indicated by the message "Loading zoom. Please Wait"). Once the full resolution image is loaded, hovering over the preview using your mouse, hereby dragging a transparent rectangular shape, will show the corresponding rectangular part of the full resolution image in a separate box next to the preview.
Underneath each preview, a link "Original" is provided that opens the full resolution image in a separate window when clicked.

Please note that if some images appear to be slightly vague, this is not due to the digitization process but rather to the poor quality of the microfilm.
